Cincinnati, Ohio: Stork Helpers LLC received the Best Doulas of Cincinnati award from Expertise.com for 2020. Stork Helpers is currently offering birth doula services in addition to childbirth classes to families around Cincinnati, Dayton and Northern Kentucky.

When asked why are doulas so important to families, Tamara said “doulas provide care and support for moms and dads from the time they conceive through postpartum. The reality is that doctors are busy and leaving messages for them can take hours or days to get a response - especially on a weekend. Having a doula as a part of your birth team allows you to have someone who is a consistent presence for you to provide information. This is incredibly important as well when it comes to being in the hospital - nurses are great, but they have other patients and can’t be with you the entire time and if you are their during shift change, you have to build a relationship all over with a stranger. As a doula, I stay by your side during labor - whether it be 7 hours or 40 hours - I am always there.”
